Let me know what you think about this photograph.
Pens:
In the Lens section is my entry for WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Forward. This image of a massive set of neon lights was taken from the vantage point where they lead from one end of a walkway to an exit ahead or a hallway to the side.
The subjectivity of the lights mesmerize me. They are utilitarian objects, design features, and abstractions. My photograph shows this technological feat as reaching forward toward the beginning and away from the end.
This definition of forward implies change and movement and wonder. The known is left behind and the unknown is yet to be. Here the lights eagerly direct and encourage the new. Still, which way is forward, which way to turn?
Thanks again WordPress for the challenge. Clearly, forward is another word that conjures multiple possibilities.
Note: As always I welcome comments about this post or any part of my blog.
The neon lights in black and white created an amazing effect.
The lights fill the top of the inside of the building; they’re effective and huge in scale. Thanks.
Great shot!
Thanks, the interior of this campus building is truly a modern companion to traditional architecture.

This is a striking photo. I wish I could visualize how it is assembled inside. It’s a wonderful photo.
I do have more and will post another time. It is a modern facility on our campus whose architecture is historically traditional. But new buildings have a flare of the modern, and it does work.
An inviting tunnel of light.
Yes, it’s a joyous place to explore. Thanks.
Nice shot, Sally!
Thanks, enjoy the weekend.

Exquisite. Reminds me of a story regarding two circuit lines of different charges who had an “attraction” towards each other, attempting to reach forward and hold one another. Though they did not know what was going to occur once they touched, their determination is what pushed them to continue and push onwards.
One of the goals of a still is to create a narrative, so I feel especially appreciative of your comment. Thanks.
Great shot.
Thanks, the neon lights are such a draw, and they also can be seen from the outside.
a very good work.
Thanks for the comment and your visit.
I love it. This kind of image really appeals me as it looks really abstract. It also works so well in Black and White. Big thumbs up from me.
Thank you, I appreciate your comment. It’s always a challenge to determine what works well in monochrome.
[ Smiles ] Very impressive work!
Thank you, these challenges are a nice way to begin the weekend.
