Let me know what you think about this photograph.

In the Lens section is my entry, which shows the confluence and interaction of nature and human nature.

The Back Story: When I discovered Wordless Wednesday, the notion that my blog, which focuses on lens and pens, would occasionally go wordless was not necessarily a conflict. For me, photography has always been about its visual language. So here I am with my third submission (first was on 19 February 2013), and (yes), still creating words.

Note: As always I welcome comments about this post or any part of my blog.

VERY interesting picture – thank you very much!!!

  2. Love the story in this photograph. My iPhone photos do not turn out this well, I need more practice I guess.

    • Using the iPhone as your camera is a journey in experimentation. I took five to six shots, and then took more. But I was waiting for the moments when the airplane and cloud were crossing each other’s paths. Thanks.

Beautifully dark! I feel like the pilot is going over the Bermuda Triangle.

  4. Wow! that aeroplane is brilliantly positioned in the frame.

  5. Gallivanta says:

I love the interweaving of the two types of nature. Human nature looks very vulnerable.

  6. I’m just so impressed you caught the plane in just the right place, not against cloud that was too dark or too light…

  7. That is one perfect shot. You captured the mood and feeling of what it feels like during a storm whether on land or on air.

  8. "Occam Blade" says:

Love the image and the range of tones and textures. It reminds me of days past when I used to shoot film pushed to ungodly ISOs, then referred to as ASA…..

  9. just glad I’m not up there…looks scary!

  10. Angeline says:

I love the plane looking so small, going into the huge clouds. The black and white makes for good drama.

  11. Gracie says:

Nice shot, Sally! For some reason, the image reminds me of those sci-fi thrillers, with the plane heading towards those dark clouds, waiting to swallow it whole. It gives me that eerie feeling.

  12. scillagrace says:

I like the grainy WWII atmosphere. 🙂
