Let me know what you think about my photograph.

Pens:

In the Lens section is my entry for this week’s WordPress Photo Challenge. Immediately, this image appeared in my mind.

In June we had unseasonably heavy thunderstorms that swept with a vengeance through the Mid-Atlantic region. Our small town had its share of turbulence (tornadoes and heavy sheets of rain) and after effects (trees uprooted and gardens washed away).

This particular afternoon the rip was pounding and strongly pervasive. Then the light appeared as if to freshen our hearts and landscape. Its glow hid the back story, and rays filtered through my home with an instant catharsis and cleansing. It was meditative.

Note: As always I welcome any comment about this post or any part of my blog.

  8. Sally, I can understand how the light was very cathartic for you. We have been having rain for 2 months straight now and this girl, could use some rays of light. The moodiness of this picture…tells a story of its own.

I adore that sunshine that beams clear and bright directly after a thunderstorm …so crisp and the air so cleansed.

  10. Great shot. I love the light streaming in and all the negative space around it.

I love the peachy glow that saturates the area when the sun pops through the clouds after a storm. I understand why this post-storm light made you feel relieved and renewed. Fresh.
    (I’m glad everyone was safe!)
