Pens:

Mobile photography has its instantaneous benefits. In the Lens section are two examples. On a road trip this week traveling South on I-95 corridor, I was powerless to resist the view ahead.

The journey had a certain syncopation until the junction that veered toward my destination. Suddenly the pace was tortoise-like.

To my left several overpasses had aerial designs that lured my attention. I grabbed my iPhone, and began to record my view.

Those few chance moments were a reminder that the Smartphone has a certain ease of use. It’s not only readily available, but produces an image that can be as whimsical or serious as my “real” DSLR.

The two images fit into WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge that shows effortless lines and patterns that are evident and hidden in everyday life. It’s often staggering the beauty of the simplest of designs.

Note: As always I welcome any comment about this post or any part of my blog.

  1. #2… the unexpected blue halo in both photos is interesting and works particularly well for #2

  2. The top photo where it looks like the two highways are going to merge together…great lines.

Number one for me, although I do feel that I might be sucked in and go over some strange edge to nowhere.

  4. Captured by an artist’s eye, a usual freeway turns into a work of Art. Stunning colors. Have a great weekend.

  5. No 2 for me. Like them both, but the bold line and the asymmetry is convincing.

  6. wrygrass.com says:

Hard choice…#2 is a bit more appealing to me due to its boldness and contrast.

  7. KOH says:

    Symmetry image~like it
    Have a happy weekend^^

  8. My vote goes for No. 2 photo. I like the way it leads the eye around the whole photograph.

  9. Lignum Draco says:

I prefer #2. It has a stronger and more dominant line.

  10. cindy knoke says:

    WOW! Stunning & futuristic! Kudos~

  11. EricaK says:

Like the way #2 conveys a feeling of movement. That is, #1 draws the eye right in, but #2 draws in my body as I feel like Im heading right down that highway myself.

  12. mylifeinfocusblog says:

I like #1. Amazing things we can do with our iPhone.

  13. vastlycurious.com says:

#2 for sure! lovely colors and persecutive!

  14. I prefer the second, perhaps for the asymmetry.
