Let me know which you prefer and why.

Pens: The theme infinite connotes a never-ending series of ideas, places and tomorrows. It stirs the senses and thoughts, resulting in the unknown becoming the known and then the unknown again.

In the Lens section are two interpretations. 1. Shows the interior of a new and innovative science and engineering lab on the University of Delaware main campus. Only time will reveal the infinite possibilities for discovery, problem solving and research to emerge from its hallways. 2. St. Georges Bridge, Delaware, is symbolic of the todays and tomorrows that are carried across its design. Bridges speak to human movement and destinations to be reached. They allow journeys to be made and remade and remade. They provide endless feats of realizations.

  1. I know your fascination with bridges but I like #1 more because it recedes into the light mysteriously 😀

  2. They do look like they can stretch into forever. Beautiful! Captures an infinite bright possibilities. Have a blessed day.

  3. Tina Schell says:

Altho I like both of the photos equally, I like the IDEA of the first – all the infinite possibilities and promising technologies that will hopefully help us all! Great ideas Sally!

  4. Nancy Power says:

I like both but the bridge is a lovely composition. And I like bridges!

  5. Gallivanta says:

Love the structure of the bridge and the contrast of the finite bridge with infinite possibilities.

  6. Great choices for the challenge. When I saw it listed my first thoughts also went to paths and roads, horizons, and vistas; well done.

  7. thirdeyemom says:

I like the second one. The first one has a dark sense to it. Maybe it is because I’m reading a really dark tale right now which puts me in that scope. I always love your work! 🙂

  8. Allan G. Smorra says:

I really like the lines of the bridge in your second photo.

  9. I like both but the bridge gets me daydreaming about travel!

  10. Lignum Draco says:

I like the lighting in your first photo – like a flash of light.

  11. HansHB says:

    Great B&W photos!

  12. elisaruland says:

I like them both, Sally, but I’m drawn to the dramatic curve of the bridge’s span.

  13. Su Leslie says:

I also like the first one better; the presence of the figure generates narrative questions that kind of fit the infinite theme really well for me. Both great pics though.

  14. I really like that top photo a lot Sally-it does lend itself to a sense of the infinite-lovely bridge photo too!

  15. second photo…loved seeing the straight line connecting to the curve. happy weekend to you.

  16. Dina says:

I go for the first one too, Sally. It’s a lovely eye-catcher, so fine in B&W, quite infinite. Have a lovely weekend!

  17. I like the first one (information aside) because the sort of out-of-focus makes it feel more infinite and undefined to me. I like the B&W with it, too.
