In light of tomorrow’s staggeringly critical election in my country, the sunset at New York City’s Hudson River Park brought these thoughts:
Legacy is reflection. What will ours be?
Vote for truth. Vote for mutual respect. Vote to elevate the moral compass. Vote to honor each individual. Vote.
What a beautiful photograph. Although I am not American I can understand your plea for people to vote for mutual respect etc.
Suzanne, lovely to hear from you. The future certainly seems the brightest its been for two years.
Yes but as an Aussie who has lived through serious bushfires I find the response of your president lacks compassion and understanding.
Yes, yes, yes, I could hardly even breathe when I heard what he said. Everyday anxiety holds tight, wondering what assault he will make upon my country, its people and the world.
Yes, he is an appalling man. The rise of the far right across the globe is frightening.
Absolutely, I am hopeful that the results of our election is a light beam into the future.
Well done Sally. Happily, record-breaking participation. Mixed results but at least people are paying attention.
Yes, it’s a start. Much to do in the next two years, but hope continues.
Beautiful Sally. At least we had some hope but still to even believe the last two years have been real is frightening.
Nicole, yes, victory in the House is a step toward healing our country.
I cross my finger for the best outcome of the election today. Perfect illustration for the dire situation.
Otto, while my anxiety is running high, I am hopeful that the greater good will prevail. Thanks.
I love the light in this shot. Here’s hoping the voting goes smoothly and there are clear winners who will lead us to an inclusive and compassionate society. 🙂
Patti, I absolutely agree. Trying to be positive.
Brilliant post for tomorrow’s day!!
Cornelia, I’m humbled. Lovely to hear from you.
A beautiful way to get your message across, Sally. We are looking forward to casting our ballots tomorrow.
